Foreign Adviser Md. Touhid Hossain graced the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Islamic University of Technology (IUT) and SEACO Universities Network (SUN) held today at the State Guest House, Padma. During the event, he observed that, “One of the shortcomings of the Muslim World is its backwardness in the areas of education, science and technology, despite possessing immense human potential and a rich intellectual heritage. It must invest more to transform its education system and bring meaningful change in the lives of the people.”
Hailing the MoU as a timely initiative, Foreign Adviser expressed his hope that this collaboration between the IUT and SUN would foster joint research, faculty and student exchanges, and sharing of technical and technological expertise among the OIC Member States.
Professor Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, Vice-Chancellor of IUT, and Mr. Salahuddin Kasem Khan, Executive Chairman, SEACO Foundation and Member, SUN signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations. Foreign Secretary Asad Alam Siam also attended the ceremony.
