Bangladesh Enterprise Institute (BEI) in association with SEACO Task Force Bangladesh and Bangladesh Malaysia Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BMCCI) organized A Round Table Discussion on the 6th World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) KL & 1st WIEF Regional Forum (SEACO) on Monday, May 03, 2010 from 05:00 P.M. 6.30 P.M. at the BEI conference room (House 20, Road 5, Gulshan 1, Dhaka 1212, Bangladesh).
Mr. Muhammad Faruk Khan, MP, Honourable Commerce Minister, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh had kindly consented to be the chief guest at the roundtable.
Mr. Mohamed Mijarul Quayes, Foreign Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh was the special guest.
Mr. Farooq Sobhan, President, BEI chaired the roundtable.
The 6th World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) conference to be held in Kuala Lumpur on 18-20 May 2010, a platform where world leaders in government and business converge to discuss trade and economic issues affecting the globe, is an ideal avenue where key business players and emerging entrepreneurs can network to explore potential business opportunities. The main programme of the 6th WIEF will address critical issues affecting key industries in the current global economic climate. The Forum will feature insightful discussions on climate change, water management, the future of Islamic Banking & Finance, SME development, challenges in logistics and many more.
